How I collect, use and protect your personal data.

The BlueSkyMoments website is owned by Michael Guerra, trading as BlueSkyMoments, who is the data controller of your personal data.

I have adopted this Privacy Policy, which determines how I am processing the information collected by BlueSkyMoments, which also provides the reasons why I must collect certain personal data about you. Therefore, you must read this Privacy Policy before using the BlueSkyMoments website.

I take care of your personal data and undertake to guarantee its confidentiality and security.

Personal information I collect

Like most websites, my web host keeps standard server logs (your IP address, browser and the pages requested) to keep the site secure and working. If you accept statistics cookies in my cookie banner, I also use Google Analytics to see how visitors use the site: the pages you view, the websites or search terms that referred you to the site, and how you interact with the site. I refer to this automatically collected information as “Device Information.”

When you send me an enquiry through the contact form, I collect the details you give me: your name, email address, phone number, wedding or event date, venue, what you need, your message and, if you choose to tell me, how you found me. The form sends these to my mailbox (info@blueskymoments.co.uk) and keeps a copy in my website’s database at my web host, Hostinger, together with the date, time and IP address of the enquiry, so that I can reply, spot spam, keep track of your booking and see how couples find me. If you book me, I also keep the details I need to fulfil my agreement with you.

Why do I process your data?

My top priority is customer data security, and, as such, I may process only minimal user data, only as much as it is absolutely necessary to maintain the website. Information collected automatically is used only to identify potential cases of abuse and establish statistical information regarding website usage. This statistical information is not otherwise aggregated in such a way that it would identify any particular user of the system.

You can visit the website without telling me who you are or revealing any information by which someone could identify you as a specific, identifiable individual. If, however, you wish to contact me through the form, you may provide personal data to me, such as your email, first name, last name, telephone number and the details of your wedding or event. You can choose not to provide me with your personal data, but then you won’t be able to contact me directly from the website. I keep enquiry details only for as long as I need them to reply to you and, if you book, to arrange and deliver your wedding film or photographs.

I process your information in order to fulfil contracts I might have with you (for example, if you book me for your wedding), or otherwise to pursue my legitimate business interests listed above. Some of the services I use, such as Google Analytics, may transfer information outside the UK, including to the United States.

Cookies and films

I use cookies as described in my Cookie Policy. Statistics cookies are only set if you accept them in the cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time.

My wedding films are hosted on YouTube. A film only loads from YouTube (youtube-nocookie.com) when you press play, and YouTube then handles its data under its own privacy policy.

My website may contain links to other websites that are not owned or controlled by me. Please be aware that I am not responsible for such other websites or third parties’ privacy practices. I encourage you to be aware when you leave my website and read the privacy statements of each website that may collect personal information.

Information security

I secure information you provide on computer servers in a controlled, secure environment, protected from unauthorised access, use, or disclosure. I keep reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect against unauthorised access, use, modification, and personal data disclosure in its control and custody.
